    How does the process work?

Nominations are received from community members who know someone who is deserving of one of the many Senior Heroes Awards. Once nominations are submitted, our Nominations Committee reviews and organizes to ensure nominations are categorized in the appropriate award category. Once the nominations period closes, our submissions are organized for review and voting by our prestigious panel of judges. Our judges review the submissions and take
    the following into consideration:

    1. Achievements
    2. Senior Community Contributions
    3. Unpaid Contributions (Volunteer time)
    4. Overall Community Impact
    5. Duration of Service
    6. Role Model

After reviewing the submissions, the questions asked, and considering the above criteria, judges are asked to rate the submissions based on a scale of 1-5.
1 = lowest (doesn't hit most of the criteria)
5 = highest (meets all of the criteria)

They carefully review, with unbiased opinions, every nomination that comes to them and assess how the information received from the nominee meets the criteria for each award. Once they determine their scores, these numbers are
sent back to the Nominations Committee and tallied to determine our Senior Award Winner!

This is why it is so important to provide detailed examples of the individuals and organizations you nominate in order for them to choose each awardee fairly.
